Rave singer, Wizkid, says there is no beef between him and his
mentor, Banky W, as he still remains a member of Empire Mates
Entertainment family.
The young pop star said this during a chat
with vixenredcarpet at the Iyanya’s album launch concert held at the Eko
Hotel And Suites last weekend.
“EME is still family, most definitely,” Wizkid told the presenter.
The
22-year old singer, who has officially opened up about his new record
label, Star Boi Music, said he will always remain part of the Banky
W-led entertainment company, despite floating his own label.
“Star
Boi Music is actually my little baby. It is something I have been
nurturing for a while. I have always wanted to do this, so I am really
excited.
“I have great artistes that I would be promoting on my label,” he said.
The streets have been abuzz with stories of ongoing tension between Wizkid and his mentor, Banky W.
The
‘Star Boi’ has reportedly left EME, though no official statement was
released till date to ascertain his real status with the label.
But
in a recent interview, Banky W explained that Wizkid is still signed on
to EME and that they are negotiating with the artiste on the deal.
